We have a great team

We want everything we do in the home to be driven by the needs, abilities and aspirations of our residents, not by what staff, management or any other group would desire. We recognise how easily this focus can slip and we will remain vigilant to ensure that the facilities, resources, policies, activities and services of the home remain person centred.

Our Registered Manager, Nicola Mullins, has wide experience having previously worked at Springfield for a period of 8 years caring for elderly residents – for 4 years Nicola was our Registered Home Manager. 

Nicola, as a qualified registered manager, has remained at Springfield over the past 21 years.

Our team members comprise 3 Senior Support Workers and 9 Support Workers; The following credo helps to describe the fundamental approach that staff at the Home have towards our individual service users:

As a small Home our staff are able to offer each individual close support with the monitoring, reviewing and co-ordinating their service plans. Staff duties include gathering information, for personal reviews, which are held twice a year or more often if needed.  Staff hold regular meetings with Home Manager, who arranges reviews and with outside professionals, who may also be involved with particular individuals.
